The article analyzes the definitions "readiness" and "professional readiness". The basic approaches to the definitions from the point of view of pedagogy and psychology have been discussed. The author's definition of "professional readiness of aviation managers" is proposed as the ability of aviation managers to fulfill their professional tasks qualitatively in standard and emergency situations based on the acquired knowledge and skills. Taking into account the integration of Ukraine into European economic and political space, increasing the competitiveness and ensuring mobility in the labor market, it is necessary to improve the educational process of aviation managers. The growth of the needs of specialists in the managerial profile is associated with significant and permanent changes in the economy structure. The issue of the many-sided man development arises before institutions of higher education. Readiness is the state of the individual, which influences the quality of the successful action. To differentiate "readiness" with the "affirmation", we note that the latter is an additional mechanism for the qualitative performance of the work. The prerequisite for professional work is the readiness for activities resulting from the professional training of a specialist in an educational institution. Readiness for professional activity depends on the appropriate level of professional competence, professional skills, as well as the ability to self-regulate, the ability to engage in appropriate social activities, and the ability to mobilize their professional potential to solve the tasks under the appropriate conditions. Professional readiness is a legitimate goal-oriented result of a certain special professional training of specialists, their personal and motivational assertion, willingness to work, the ability to overcome difficulties, their education, self-education, self-education, self-improvement, the desire to succeed and the ability to overcome obstacles. Accordingly, such readiness regulates the professional activity of a specialist ensuring its effectiveness. The managers’ professional readiness for professional activity is revealed in its ability to organize, execute and regulate their activities, which is also conditioned by many other factors, namely: the system of methods and goals, the availability of professional knowledge and skills, the direct personal inclusion in the activities in which the needs, interests and motives of obtaining essential, significant, most modern knowledge and skills are actively formed. The study considers the pedagogical and professional directions, which involve identifying the factors, conditions, means of readiness formation and the characteristics of professional training effectiveness. The readiness is based on a certain state of the personality, which affects the quality of successful implementation of the tasks; the affirmation is an application mechanism for the qualitative work performance. The affirmation can be divided into conscious and unconscious. Aviation managers' readiness for professional activity is considered in psychological, pedagogical and professional directions. |
