The article is devoted to the research of the problem of using STEM-technologies within the framework of theoretical training of future civil aviation pilots. The model of formation of professional competence of future pilots on the basis of inter-scientific integration was constructed. The application of STEM technologies is analyzed, depending on the level of studying the surrounding world. The STEM-oriented approach to learning contributes to the popularization of engineering and technology professions among young people. STEM promotes awareness among young people about career opportunities in engineering and technology. STEM contributes to the formation of a stable internal motivation of students to study fundamental disciplines by establishing a stable link between the acquired knowledge on natural sciences and mathematical disciplines and their direct application in future professional activities. Among the disadvantages of organizing the training of aviation specialists, scientists point out the low motivation of students to study and cognitive activity, the lack of creative focus of theoretical training, the weak use of opportunities of modern information technology. The use of STEM technologies makes it possible to successfully solve these problems by training cadets on an integrated approach to solving complex real-life problems in future professional activities. Disciplines of natural science training should be professional orientation, meet the current level of technology development in the aviation industry and consistent with the content of the professional educational program. Higher mathematics is the foundation for the study of the disciplines of professional and practical training. This requires the establishment of stable STEM relationships between basic mathematical concepts and terminology used in other discipline cycles. The study shows the role of STEM-technologies in the theoretical training of civilian cadets pilots. The application of STEM-technology has been analyzed, depending on the level of study of the surrounding world and the place of the discipline "Higher Mathematics" in the educational process. On the basis of inter-scientific integration, a model for forming the professional competence of cadet-pilots was constructed. An example of the use of STEM-links based on the study of the task of investigating an aviation event and the use of the apparatus of differential equations for describing the flight path are given.
