Картографічні уміння як складова професійної компетентності майбутніх фахівців з туризму

Abstract

У статті визначено місце картографічних умінь як однієї зі складових професійної компетентності майбутніх фахівців з туризму. Розглянуто зміст понять «картографічні уміння», «туристська картографія» та можливості навчальних курсів «Активний туризм», «Туристичні ресурси України» у процесі формування таких умінь. The purpose of the article is to identify the possibilities of specialized educational subjects in terms of the formation of mapping skills of future tourism specialists. Tourist maps, charts, atlases are cartographic products for a wide range of consumers. Their creation is an interesting and promising direction of the development of modern cartography – tourist cartography. A tourist map is a cartographic work designed to meet the tourist and cognitive needs of the population, for organizers and researchers of tourism, for educational, scientific and practical purposes. It displays travel routers, sightseeing sites, centers and areas of tourism. We consider cartographic skills as: the ability to understand the map, the ability to read the map, the ability to know the map, the ability to predict the development of social phenomena using the map, the ability to create new maps and develop new routes. The formation of the mapping skills of future tourism specialists begins in the first year. Other geographic subjects were aimed at reinforce this process. The profile discipline "Tourist Resources of Ukraine" involves the design of the "Passport of a Tourist Object" using thematic geographical and tourist maps. The profile discipline "Active Tourism" involves the development of a travel route within the Kirovograd region using thematic geographical and tourist maps. We assessed the level of mapping skills formation among future specialists using specially defined criteria. We identified three groups of students according to the level of cartographic skills formation: high level, sufficient level, low level.
